Not sure how, I just know he's made more changes to it. And he's been tweaking on it more lately, things will be different again, when 2.13.0 comes out. Right now it's set up to let any IMPORTANT sim (NPC jobbers I call them) through, but if you want, you can stop the joggers and walkers and extras like that. So he backed off the 'stranglehold' and turned it into a 'bottleneck' (trickle) setting instead, and he's been working on it all along. and that broke GTW, because it couldn't generate coworkers. I don't know the reason (I'd say logic, but I can't use that word about this game and keep a straight face.) behind it either, but I do know that at first, Deaderpool DID stop townie generation (in the very early days, before I even picked up the mod).

One thing I will give TS4, editing townies is SO much easier.

The game will still spawn some (Shimrod explained once why it's so hard to stop them spawning entirely, but I've already forgotten the reasoning) but it seems to be easier to control when there's already a lot of sims in town, especially with those mods in place. Also, I fill the town early on with Sims I want to see and that really seems to help. I use a combination of MC settings and Shimrod's mods. If spawning could be tailored to an individual player's needs, there wouldn't need to be any 'culling' at all. I mean how many different postal workers does one need in the same neighborhood? How many different trainers in the same gym? Somewhere in here, there might actually be an explanation as to why this is easier said than done, but until and unless I actually see one, I'll have to guess that they cannot set a toggle for players to just shut off spawning once they have enough townies and/or NPCs to fill the various roles the game needs. That issue, the population cap and culling to keep the number below the magical figure of 180- have been a bone of contention (and fodder for SimLit stories) for a very long time. or, here, I have a local help thread (not everybody loves MTS). If you're interested, check it out, and if you need help, Deaderpool is awesome at keeping up with the comments there. go figure )ДЄnd is right, MC Command Center can't STOP townies from spawning, but it CAN cut the number WAY down. (Even though it's Gourmet Cooking they're leveling up while on the job. Chef, for example, needs at least Cooking 7 to be considered eligible. Might be an age, or a trait, or a skill at a certain level.

Is there a mod or a system or anything that can stop these townies from poppong up?

Is there a way to just stop townies from popping up randomly? I delete them everytime I go to 'Manage world' but once I go back in the game and have to hire workers for the restaurant or retail stores, the game generates new townies!!!!! I hate it! i want MY sims to be in the choice list of workers that I hire. I have tried everything!!!! mods and others.
